Introduction
Overview
The Takeoff platform provides a flexible set of length measurement tools designed to support a wide range of workflows when working with drawings and plans. Whether measuring directly from existing geometry or creating measurements manually, the platform enables fast and accurate takeoff creation.
Lengths can be created by snapping directly to drawing geometry for precise alignment, or by manually defining measurements when geometry is unavailable or incomplete. Existing measurements can also be refined using trimming tools to remove unwanted sections or adjusted after creation to better match drawing changes or takeoff requirements.
Adjustment tools allow measurements to be modified either by moving individual line segments or repositioning specific vertices, providing greater control when editing complex measurements.
To use Length measurements, the selected Dimension Group must be configured with a measurement type of Length.
